Write for Us!

We enjoy connecting with the knitting and crocheting community and we’d love hearing your voices! If you’re interested in writing for Laurel Hill Knitting (and Crocheting), let us know! Some ideas for guest posts:

  • A new project! Either your own design or something you’re particularly proud of. If you let us know in advance, we’ll send you needles or a hook to use on the project.
  • A fiber arts event in your area – we’ll help spread the word.
  • Tips for new knitters – we all need help.
  • An explanation of a process or technique – share your expertise!
  • Your first project – how did you get into knitting and crocheting?
  • A story of a charity knitting or crocheting project. May we suggest Knots-of-Love?

  1. I am interested in making caps for children and adults. I know crochet a little bit, but I have never actually made anything. Are there simple crochet patterns that I could get to get started making some caps for individuals? I have a lot of spare time on my hands, and I think this would be something worthwhile to do. I would like to make the neck scarfs too.

    Thank you.

  2. I am a cancer patient myself and the caps are wonderful. I crochet blankets and I realized during treatments that the patients become very cold and these treatments can take up to 4 and 5 hours, Why couldn’t people that crochet blankets make some and donate them to their local cancer treatment centers and call it CROCHET FOR CANCER, just an idea.

    Thank You,
    Brenda Ward

I like your idea for crocheting blankets for cancer treatment centers! I would also like your opinion of what type yarn would be best to use for a blanket. I also would like your opinion on what type of yarn you prefer for cancer caps. I appreciate your input and wish you the best in your recovery!
