Hey Guys!

Hope you all are having a wonderful Monday!

I’m writing because I want to share some exciting news with you all!

So, as most of you know, I am the new intern at Laurel Hill and I am so happy to be working with such an amazing company and with all of you as well.

This past week, I realized that in order to fully immerse myself in my position, it only makes sense that I know what I’m talking about…right? I think it’s important that I understand the basics of crocheting so I’m better able to communicate and relate with you all. That said, I have decided to take up crocheting!

I think that this is an awesome opportunity for me to take on a new craft while being able to share my learning process along the way with you all, as well as be able to learn from you all throughout the process.

I can promise you my work will be far from perfect as I am at the beginner level, and if I’m being honest, even below that level if there’s such a thing…BUT I’m so excited to begin my first crocheting project. I will be posting photos of my process throughout the upcoming weeks and can’t wait to share them along with my thoughts, questions, concerns, struggles, and triumphs..hopefully!

My goal is to inspire at least one person in some way or another. Whether it be to begin crocheting as well or maybe even to realize that we are all human, and there is no such thing as perfection. I think the important thing is that trying something new, whatever it may be is a learning process for us all.

I look forward to sharing my steps along the way and I will also be posting some other project ideas thoughout July for all you knitters and crocheters out there!

Talk to you all soon and wish me good luck…I’ll need it!:)

I’m using a Laurel Hill Ebony Crochet Hook (size K). I’ve linked the photo to the Laurel Hill site in case you’re interested in looking/buying this tool!
